Last week, the digital asset sector saw a net inflow of $572 million, with Ethereum ETP leading the market.
BlockBeats News, August 11th, according to the latest weekly report from CoinShares, digital asset investment products saw inflows last week, totaling $572 million. Earlier this week, outflows reached $1 billion, possibly driven by growth concerns following soft US employment data.
However, in the latter half of the week, inflows reached $1.57 billion, possibly driven by the US government's announcement allowing the use of digital assets in 401(k) retirement plans. Trading volume for digital asset ETPs decreased by 23% compared to the previous week, possibly due to subdued summer trading activity. Regionally, inflows in the US and Canada were $608 million and $16.5 million, respectively, while Europe continued to see outflows, with Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland totaling $54.3 million in outflows.
Ethereum ETP led the market, attracting $268 million in inflows, becoming the highest among all assets. This brought the year-to-date inflow to a new high of $8.2 billion, with recent price increases also driving its managed assets to a record high of $32.6 billion, representing an 82% increase year-to-date.
Bitcoin saw a rebound after two consecutive weeks of outflows, with total inflows of $260 million last week, while outflows for shorting Bitcoin amounted to $4 million. Solana, XRP, and Near saw inflows of $21.8 million, $18.4 million, and $10.1 million, respectively.
